📖 History of James Memorial Public Library
James Memorial Public Library has been part of the St. James community for generations. Lucy Wortham James provided funding for the St. James Public Library beginning with her estate in 1938. After a new library building was constructed in 1953, the library became the Lucy Wortham James Memorial Library.
