Supporting Libraries, Literacy & a Community of Readers

The Friends of the James Memorial Public Library is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded with a commitment to support our local library, and James Memorial Public Library remains an important part of that mission.

At the same time, the Friends(FOL) recognize that supporting literacy extends beyond the walls of any one building.

By supporting local library resources and programs, putting books directly into the hands and homes of children, encouraging reading at every age, and partnering with organizations and community members who share these goals, we work to create a community where books, learning, and discovery are accessible to everyone.

What FOL Support

Our efforts may include:

  • Supporting James Memorial Public Library programs and resources

  • Helping provide books to children and families
