DONATIONS TO THE LIBRARY

  • Book Donations

James Memorial Public Library gladly accepts donations of gently used books.
We do ask that they be clean and in fair condition (covers intact, free of strong odors and water/animal damage).  We take all books except text books and encyclopedias, and we also accept donations of CDs, DVDs, and magazines (with the exception of National Geographic magazines).  You can bring your donation by the library any time during regular business hours.  If you have a large or heavy donation, please call us so that we can direct you to the rear entrance for easier accessibility.

  • Memorial Donations

Many people request donations to charity in lieu of plants and flowers, in memory of a loved one who has passed.  One of many alternatives is a memorial book donation; we are pleased to be able to offer this service to our patrons.  You may choose a book, if there is one that has special meaning for you, or we are happy to choose a book for you.  Your loved one will be memorialized with a plaque inside the book's front cover, with a message of your choosing.
